Copenhagen Specs is an optical trade fair that celebrates the independent optical stores. It ensures that all exhibitors can exhibit on equal terms, no matter their size.
In 2018 it also opened its doors in Berlin and a new visual identity was needed.
I have created a visual univers that reflects the down to earth event. Its information heavy material is layouted minimalistic, to make it seem light and easy to digest. A set of icons helps to communicate all the info, and mimics the fun spirit of the event.
Each show has their own base color — grey for Copenhagen and mint for Berlin. These are paired with a midnight blue and an accent reference to the fairs original yellow.

A dotted pattern tell the story of the show. It represents the masses, making the one yellow dot in the logo, a symbol of the independent one.
